California VINE Implementation
This document, last updated in January of 2010, displays a map of California which depicts the Victim Information Notification Everyday (VINE) program status of each county. VINE is an anonymous and free service that provides registrants with a notification when significant changes occur to an inmate’s custody status. VINE emerged as a result of Marsy’s Law – the Victims’ Bill of Rights which requires notification of inmate transfer, release, or escape.
