SafeNest hosts spring soiree to support children affected by domestic violence
SafeNest is inviting the community to its "Sip, Savor, & S’mores Spring Soiree" on May 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Happy Camper, located at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The event aims to raise funds for Camp Hope, a summer camp designed for children ages 7 to 17 who have been affected by domestic violence.
Linda Bridges, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for SafeNest, said the fundraiser will be "more bonfire and cocoa than ballroom and cocktails," though cocktails will be available.
Attendees can enjoy campfire magic, light bites, and socializing.
Proceeds from the event will support Camp Hope, which offers a specialized curriculum developed around traditional camp activities.
The camp, running from May 26 to May 30 at Howlands Landing on Catalina Island, provides campers with the skills and hope needed to break the generational cycle of violence.
Funds raised will cover camp registration, transportation, food, lodging, and associated fees, making the experience free for campers.
The soiree is presented by David Wilson’s Toyota of Las Vegas. Sponsorships are available, ranging from $1,000 to $6,000, with individual tickets starting at $150.
