  1. REV. STAT. § 14:35.3(B)(3). DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY

 (l) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, if the domestic abuse battery involves strangulation, the offender shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not more than three years.
