The founder of our Institute and the Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance, Gael Strack, so richly deserves to be recognized on our national platform during Women’s History Month. In Honor of Women’s History Month, this week, we proudly celebrate Gael Strack, our Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Alliance for Hope International. Gael's impact in the realm of domestic and sexual violence advocacy is truly profound. As the co-founder of Alliance for HOPE International (Alliance) and founder of the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention, a program of the Alliance, Gael has emerged as one of the leading experts in the nation on addressing strangulation assaults. Her dedication to this critical issue has not only shaped legislation in all 50 states, but has also revolutionized how we approach and handle such cases, saving countless lives in the process. The Family Justice Center movement in the US and around the world would never have happened without Gael Strack’s transformative leadership as the founding director of the first Family Justice Center in the country in San Diego. Her collaborative leadership approach has been instrumental in inspiring comprehensive support to survivors and streamlining resources to combat domestic and sexual violence around the world. Beyond her professional achievements, Gael's commitment to education and empowerment is evident. As an adjunct law professor for California Western School of Law for 20 years, she imparted invaluable knowledge through courses like "Domestic Violence and the Law," shaping the next generation of advocates and legal professionals. We must also recognize Gael's well-deserved accolades, including the National Crime Victim Service Award for Professional Innovation in Victim Services and being named San Diego Attorney of the Year in 2006. She is one of the most influential Latina women leading a national domestic violence and sexual assault organization in the country. Thank you, Gael, for your incredible work and unwavering dedication to creating safer, more supportive communities for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Your legacy of advocacy and empowerment will continue to inspire generations to come. #WomensHistoryMonth #Inspiration #WomenInLeadership #AllianceForHope
