    Westtown man charged in beating, strangulation of 9-year-old girl

    A Westtown man is being held without bail in Chester county prison Tuesday on charges that he physically beat a 9-year-old girl in attempts to discipline her. Authorities said he strangled her causing her severe brain damage resulting in a “near fatality.”

    The Chester County District Attorney’s office is expected to release information about the arrest of Dimitrios Moscharis later today. More information to follow.
